Ketamine Treatment

Ketamine treatment requires that you be evaluated by a medical professional at our practice to rule out any possible contraindications that may make you ineligible for treatment and to ensure Ketamine is the best possible treatment option for you.

If evaluation proves Ketamine a safe treatment for you, staff will contact you for treatment orientation and scheduling for the course of six Ketamine appointments. If clients complete the full 3 week, 2 sessions per week cycle the appointments are scheduled at the same time-slot each treatment. Each treatment is scheduled for two hours in total.

During evaluation you may be provisionally approved for treatment, conditional on health, lifestyle or behavior changes. If you come to your Ketamine treatments and have not met those conditional requirements then your appointment will be canceled and you will be responsible for the late cancellation fee.

Please make every effort to attend your appointments. Additional costs may be associated with rescheduling and you may be asked to postpone treatment in order to maintain requirements of dosing.

Booster sessions are single Ketamine Treatments beyond the initial 6 session treatment that help maintain the therapeutic benefits over time. Clients may request a booster session based on their overall symptoms at 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. An additional evaluation is required to review the effectiveness and appropriateness of the booster treatment.

Once established, your appointment time is set until the completion of treatment. It is important that you receive treatment at scheduled times. Cancellations are allowed without an associated fee for cancellations outside of the 24-hour window, for sickness and emergencies. Frequent cancellations or no shows may result in your treatment time being given to another patient and your treatment rescheduled to a later period. Cancellation within 24-hours of your appointment, late arrival (over 10 minutes late) or failure to arrive to your appointment means you will be responsible for the full Ketamine treatment no show/late cancel fee and your debit/credit card will automatically be charged. If you miss  more than one appointment you may be asked to reschedule your treatment cycle. There are no fees associated with cancellations due to sickness or emergency, however if you do not comply with medical and dietary instructions prior to your appointment and for that reason, are unable to receive treatment, you will be charged the no show fee.

Insurance companies currently do not cover psychiatric use of Ketamine at this time. KHA will not bill your insurance company for any of the Ketamine treatments and will be required to pay the full amount or set up a payment plan 48-hours prior to your first appointment. You cannot use an HSA card for any of the treatment costs.

The cost for the Ketamine treatments will be explained to you in your orientation. There may be additional costs associated with the evaluations and integration counseling sessions, which may be reimbursable by your health insurance. There may also be additional costs associated with any emergency or crisis situation and those will be determined based on the supplies and procedures used.

You can withdraw from treatment at anytime. If you do withdraw before the end of your treatment you will be partially refunded based on the treatments that you have already completed. Additionally, there is a 10% non-refundable administrative fee and a 6% non-refundable fee in the case of credit-card processing fees. Normal policies apply for any returned checks or credit card charge backs.

We have multiple payment plan options for those unable to pay the full amount prior to treatment. Please indicate during the initial intake process if you wish to use a payment plan. Using a payment plan incurs a 10% non-refundable administrative fee, charged at the time of scheduling, and which is applied to the final balance. A card on file is required and payment will be collected automatically based on the payment plan selected.

Normal practice policies regarding negligent account balances will apply.

Although research demonstrates that most people experience beneficial improvements, we cannot guarantee that you will experience similar results. We are not liable for undesired effects or experiences, nor will you be refunded for the services which you have received based on dissatisfaction with results.

In an emergency situation, Lorazepam may be administered by a Registered Nurse on site (which will be clearly outline to the client during the informed consent process prior to treatment), which will reverse the effect of the Ketamine drug. You may have additional costs incurred in such cases.
